The new iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max passed the drop test
During the presentation of the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max, Apple said that they use the most durable glass that has ever been used in smartphones. The same information is indicated on the official website. After the start of sales, which took place without excitement, bloggers took up the test of this rather bold statement.
According to Apple, in the production of new iPhones, the process of double ion exchange is used, due to which the increased strength of the glass that protects smartphones in front and behind is achieved. The authors of the popular YouTube channel EverythingApplePro conducted a drop test of the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max to find out how durable they are in reality.
The test results were very impressive. Both smartphones without any noticeable damage survived about a dozen drops on concrete from different heights. Nothing even happened to them after the first throw from a height of about three meters. However, the second drop from the same distance from the ground became fatal, and each of the two smartphones cracked the glass. After subsequent "flights" the number of "injuries" only increased.
It is interesting that even with completely broken glass in front and behind, both devices remained in working condition, and they could be fully used. Even more surprisingly, after all the falls, the lenses of the cameras were not damaged at all.
