The developer of a well-known search engine hacked girls accounts to search for explicit photos
By hacking victims’ accounts on Yahoo, the developer got access to pages on Facebook, to iCloud, Gmail and DropBox accounts. There, the accused found archives with private content. He was interested, including photos and videos of his colleagues, friends and acquaintances. The man saved the files to the hard drive, which he destroyed when the FBI investigation began.
Charges of intruding into a computer network and data interception were brought against him in April. The sentence to the former developer should be passed in February 2020. A man faces up to five years in prison and a fine of 250 thousand. He will also have to pay damages to the victims.
