Tesla Model S Plaid broke the Porsche Taycan record in the Nurburgring test run

Tesla continues to test on the Nurburgring-Nordschleife the new Model S electric car models, including the Plaid version, and, according to the observer from the German automobile magazine Auto Motor und Sport, in one of the test races she managed to break the Porsche Taycan record for four-door cars.

The company hired Thomas Mutsch, an expert in racing, to test electric cars, who covered a lap in 7 minutes 23 seconds on one of the modified Tesla Model S cars.

Of course, this is unofficial data and the lap times were recorded with a manual stopwatch, which is associated with a certain inaccuracy. Nevertheless, the Model S electric car was 19 s faster than the Porsche Taycan in a record race in August this year.
