Realme XT 64MP camera tested in action

Shortly after the announcement of realme XT with a 64-megapixel camera on the network, the results of testing the shooting capabilities of the smartphone appeared on the network. The novelty was tested in various lighting conditions, comparing with the previous model of the line, equipped with a 48 megapixel sensor.

The main sensor of the rear camera of the smartphone is the 64-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL GW1. By default, it captures images in a resolution of 16 megapixels, combining four adjacent pixels into one to improve photosensitivity and reduce noise in low light. Detailing and color reproduction compared to the 48-megapixel sensor has increased both with standard shooting and at maximum zoom ratio.

The key difference between the sensors, in addition to the resolution of the matrix, is the linear size. In addition, the novelty also uses a debayerization algorithm that was not used by its predecessor.

In night shooting mode, the smartphone does not switch to a maximum resolution of 64 megapixels. In daylight, the detail of photos of the new camera is higher compared to 48-megapixel sensors, but the most noticeable superiority will be only when printing full-size images.
