Paris court obliges Valve to allow users to sell games from Steam
Digital copies of the games, according to one of the Paris courts, are no different from physical ones. Users should have the right to resell them inside the service or even on eBay. According to the Numerama website, lawyers have been working on this for three years:
“By a ruling of September 17th by the Paris District Court, the Consumer Protection Organization considers it necessary to abolish a number of rules established by Valve regarding Steam users,” it says.
The Steam administration has not yet responded to this court order. We will follow the development of events.
