In Windows 10, found a new bug after the update
Less than three days after the first reports of network problems after updating Windows 10, a new bugreport was published on the network. This time the problems turned out to be even more serious than the “red screen”: an error occurs immediately after turning on the computer, and deprives users of the opportunity to log into the system in the usual way.
The problem is related to the same update KB4515384 from September 10 for assembly 1903. According to AskWoody, on average, three out of four devices running on Windows 10 encountered an authorization error and the inability to enter a PIN code on the login screen.
“Installing cumulative update KB 4515384 led to the fact that out of four machines access to PIN-code entry was closed for three. Removing the update did not help, like other attempts to restore the system. As a temporary solution, you can delete the entire contents of the folder C: \ Windows \ ServiceProfile \ LocalServices \ AppData \ Local \ Microsoft \ Ngc, and after the reboot, the PIN code will work again, ”one of the victims said.
Users who encounter the indicated consequences of the update can use the above instructions. The source recommends that everyone else suspend Windows Update until the corresponding patches are released.
