How To Enter Tp-Link Router Settings
I already wrote instructions for entering the settings for almost all popular routers. I even prepared a universal instruction for entering the control panel, but I somehow forgot about TP-Link. Therefore, I decided to prepare an article on entering the settings on TP-Link routers. Good and popular devices. I have been using the router of this company myself for many years.
It’s very easy to get into the TP-Link control panel. Definitely no harder than on other devices. This article is suitable for all TP-Link router models (TL-WR841N, TL-WR741N, TL-WR940N, etc.). Since almost everything is the same there, for which I love TP-Link. If you bought a router for yourself and decided to configure it yourself, then you can’t do without entering the settings, this is understandable &# 128578; Configuring these routers is not at all difficult, you can configure everything without problems according to the instructions from our website (if you don’t find it, write in the comments) Well, even if the wizard sets everything up for you, in the process of using the router, you will most likely have to change some settings. For example: change the password to Wi-Fi, remember the forgotten password in the settings of your TP-Link, or update the firmware. And each time to call the master, it is not convenient, and even expensive. You can do everything yourself in a couple of minutes, and if something does not work out, then we will help!
Enter TP-Link settings: 192.168.1.1, or 192.168.0.1
We do this:
- We are connected to a Wi-Fi router. You can connect both via Wi-Fi network and network cable. You can access TP-Link settings even from a tablet or smartphone, via the TP-Link Tether application (but you can also use the browser on your mobile device). But I advise you to use a computer (laptop).
- Open any browser and go to the address 192.168.1.1, or 192.168.0.1. It all depends on the model of the router. The address for entering the settings is indicated at the bottom of the router.
- A user name and password prompt appears. Default. admin and admin. If you have already changed them, then indicate yours.
- That’s it, you’ve entered the TP-Link router settings.
And now let’s look in more detail and with pictures.
Or take the network cable that comes with the router and connect it to the computer or laptop in the network card. And on the router in the yellow LAN-connector. Like this:
Connected, now launch any browser on the computer. We need to find out at what IP address you can go to the settings of our router. Usually, in TP-Link this is the address 192.168.1.1, or 192.168.0.1. Now they usually indicate not the IP address, but the domain. Usually it tplinklogin.net (this address does not work anymore, wrote more about it here), or tplinkwifi.net. At the same time, there is also access to the settings by IP address.
Just look at the sticker on the bottom of the device itself. It will contain the IP address and standard username and password, which will also be useful to us.
Hostname may be specified.
We type the address of our router in the browser, and click on it. A window should appear in which you need to specify a username and password. Everything is simple here: a standard password. admin, username too admin. If you changed this data, then indicate yours. If you forgot them, then most likely you will have to reset the router so that you can again use the standard data to enter the control panel.
The control panel will open.
That’s all, we went into the settings of the router. If you I can’t get into the settings of the router, then see this article. In it, I wrote about solving the most popular problems that may arise.
Comment, ask, share tips! Good luck!
